The Black Panthers, cited by some L.A. Rebellion filmmakers as an influence on their respective artistic development, are the subject of a new book from former UCLA graduate student Joshua Bloom.

L.A. Rebellion filmmaker and UCLA alumna Julie Dash was recently appointed as the 2013 Bob Allison (Allesee) Endowed Professor in Media in the Department of Communication at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

We are proud to announce that the "L.A. Rebellion: Creating a New Black Cinema" Tour will continue in 2013 with three upcoming stops in Philadelphia, Toronto, and New York City.
