The Bruin Film Society and the UCLA Film & Television Archive are excited to host a conversation with Karina Longworth from the You Must Remember This podcast, moderated by K.J. Relth-Miller.
Longworth is a writer, film historian and podcaster. She is the creator, producer and host of You Must Remember This, a podcast on the secret and forgotten history of 20th century Hollywood, as well as the author of books on George Lucas, Al Pacino and Meryl Streep. Her latest book, Seduction: Sex, Lies and Stardom in Howard Hughes's Hollywood, was released by Custom House in November 2018. K.J. Relth-Miller has been a film programmer with the UCLA Film & Television Archive since 2016. As an independent curator, she has presented diverse moving image programs in a wide array of venues. She is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Film/Video at the California Institute of the Arts and holds a Master of Arts in Media Studies & Film from The New School. We will be talking to Karina about the new season of You Must Remember This, the work that goes into crafting it, and the history presented in the podcast.
