Marsha Gordon’s new book, Film is Like a Battleground: Sam Fuller's War Movies, is the first to focus on the genre that best defined the American director's career: the war film. Drawing on previously unexplored archival materials, Gordon examines the director's lifelong interest in making challenging, thought-provoking, and often politically dangerous movies about war.
Marsha Gordon is Associate Professor of Film Studies at North Carolina State University. Gordon will appear before the screening for a book signing in the lobby of the Billy Wilder Theater beginning at 6:30 pm.
