"[A]bsorbingly diverting and an entertaining little bauble of the sort they just don't make any more." -- Indiewire
Directed by Robert Altman
Director Robert Altman’s most fanciful feature was often cited by him as a personal favorite. Young Brewster (Bud Cort) lives secretly beneath the Houston Astrodome, developing a set of artificial wings and nursing an urge to fly, assisted by a seeming guardian angel (Sally Kellerman). Implicated in the murders of corrupt local officials, Brewster must finally resort to a “flight” from justice, in a seeming allegory of freedom’s limits.
