“If the AIDS crisis has crested, it’s due in large part to the radical advocacy group so intelligently portrayed in United in Anger: A History of ACT UP…” - Variety

Directed by Jim Hubbard

Jim Hubbard’s stirring documentary charts the amazing story of ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) in its quarter-century, continuing struggle to affect public HIV-AIDS policy, counteracting the cynicism and intractability of government and the medical establishment with passion and ingenious direct action to save lives.  Archival footage of dramatic street interventions, and reminiscences by many survivors of the group’s crucial early years, round out this inspiring story.
