"Man on a Mountaintop"

Robert Alan Aurthur's acclaimed teleplay stars Cliff Robertson as Horace Mann Borden, a former famous child prodigy who lives his adult life as a detached hermit, in fear of human contact.  Severely damaged by his father's Svengali-like engineering of his childhood development, Borden's lack of faith in humanity is challenged when an intelligent, concerned young woman unexpectedly enters his life.
