A reporter interviews comedian Pat Paulsen about the first Festival of Friends benefit concert. The benefit was suggested by the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation to raise money for educational toys and other items for underprivileged children in the Los Angeles area. Footage includes a performance by John Hartford on an outdoor stage and people watching the band. There is a close-up of Jesse Unruh, California State Assembly Speaker (1961-1969) and California State Treasurer (1975-1987).
Note: The KTLA newsfilm collection at UCLA consists of cut and unedited stories, outtakes and fill footage, originally shot on 16mm reversal film stock with magnetic soundtrack. Some footage, particularly material not used for broadcast, may be without sound.
