"African American William C. Taylor of the Communist Party to run for Los Angeles County Supervisor"

William C. Taylor, an African American spokesman for the Communist Party, files papers to run against Kenneth Hahn for Los Angeles County Supervisor. Taylor states his campaign will emphasize "the right of representation of all minorities at all levels of government," and he will not hide the fact that he is a spokesman for the Communist Party. When asked about why he is running, Taylor talks about reforming property taxes and increasing the budget for social welfare. Footage includes an interview with Dorothy Healey, an activist in the Communist Party.
