At a press conference, Mayor Tom Bradley announces the appointment of Harold Williams, Dean of the UCLA Graduate School of Management, to the position of Energy Coordinator for the City of Los Angeles. Bradley discusses steps the city has been taking regarding the energy crisis. Williams also speaks about the long term energy problem of demand exceeding supply as both a local and national issue. He also talks about efforts that will be made to pull together city resources, as well as efforts to work with Sacramento and Washington, D.C.
