Councilman Tom Bradley and Mayor Sam Yorty talk to the press about the controversy surrounding the land swap deal between the City of Los Angeles and Occidental Petroleum Corporation. Through this deal, the oil company acquired land in the Pacific Palisades they intended to use for drilling. Tom Bradley alleges questionable conduct by people involved and thinks a grand jury should take a closer look at the entire matter. Sam Yorty calls it a reckless accusation and claims the City Council voted for the land swap knowing the land would be used for drilling. The clip alternates between footage of Bradley and footage of Yorty. Clip includes unrelated footage of a protest for farm workers in front of the Teamsters offices.
