During a Los Angeles City Council Meeting a proposal to limit the term of the Mayor to 8 years is discussed. Mayor Tom Bradley offers his thoughts on the matter, noting that a similar motion was introduced during his time as a Councilman, and he supported the motion then, and continues to do so as Mayor. According to Bradley, eight years is long enough for a mayor to accomplish his programs, and then move on to allow new leadership with new, innovative ideas to take over. Clip includes silent footage of the City Council meeting.
