Mayor Tom Bradley is interviewed about the Southern California Rapid Transit District bus strike that began on August 12, 1974 and progress on the contract negotiations. Bradley talks about the need to step up the pace of activity and the possibility of around-the-clock negotiation sessions. People wait at the Mayor’s office for a chance to speak with Bradley. While waiting, an unidentified woman is interviewed about the transit strike’s effect on seniors living in Van Nuys who currently have very limited transportation options.
