An unidentified man, possibly the financial consultant for the Rapid Transit District mentioned later in the footage, talks about transportation as a service people will pay for in taxes because it is not self-supporting. In a press conference, Mayor Tom Bradley states the Rapid Transit District is studying proposals to expand public transit in Los Angeles. These proposals are a starting point for the discussion, and he expects the public and goverment agencies to offer significant input before it will be presented on the ballot. Bradley is also asked several questions regarding fares and the possibility of a free transit system. Includes silent footage of reporters, the press conference, and a map of route alternatives.
