In a press conference, Mayor Tom Bradley indicates that the City of Los Angeles can save $12 million with the list of proposed cutbacks he has provided to the City Council for review. He discusses the process of asking department heads to examine their budgets and suggest cuts, and then working with the city's administrative officer to review those recommendations. Many of the cuts are to new programs that were approved for the budget but not yet implemented. Bradley also responds to questions about how the proposed cuts will affect the police department. Includes silent footage of cameramen, KTLA reporter Dick Garten and possibly unrelated shots of a city bus and people on the sidewalk.
