Mayor Tom Bradley and several others meet with a representative from the United States Department of the Interior to discuss aspects of off-shore oil drilling. Bradley expresses concern that the Department of the Interior appears determined to allow the drilling, and wonders if all the meetings and hearings on the issue were just for show. The representative understands their desire to have input, and that every study done has recommended that state and local governments have a voice in how the final decision is made. Many questions have been raised that need to be answered, including how drilling on the continental shelf fits into an overall energy policy. Clip includes silent footage of the meeting.
