Reporter Mike Botula covers two stops on Mayor Tom Bradley’s 10-stop tour of the San Fernando Valley. The first stop is a breakfast meeting with members of the Coalition to Save the Sepulveda Basin who are concerned about plans to build Olympic facilities in the Sepulveda Basin. In talking to the group, Bradley emphasizes that the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee is going to be very involved in the whole process, and residents will be given ample time to offer their comments and suggestions. He reiterates that if enough residents oppose it, the facilities will go elsewhere. The second stop is at Arco Solar Inc. where Bradley is shown various products, including a solar powered decorative fountain, and a specialized cooler that will be used to bring vaccines to remote areas. Clip includes footage of the mayor departing and arriving at locations, reporters, signs for the Sepulveda Dam and the area behind the sign, and ambient sound footage of a remote control airplane flying and landing.
