City councilman Tom Bradley speaks about violence in Los Angeles schools and his proposals to have departments work together to solve the problem. In addition, he demonstrates a device that he believes could be used in schools to help reduce the number of times police have to be called. Teachers could alert a person responsible for monitoring the device that there is a situation that requires a response. The monitor could then dispatch a teacher or security officer to that location. Bradley also proposes an ad-hoc committee that would pull together police, school administration and other groups to work on the issue.
