Announcer introduction: "Poor Molly has not only suffered a great disappointment in George and Grace, but she now believes that Birdie, the town loudspeaker is spreading the whole story of how the two came to Lastenbury to swindle the Goldbergs, and how Grace pretended to be Molly's daughter-in-law. When George confessed that he and Grace were married Molly had made a heroic effort to give them both another chance. With George it seemed to work; with Grace it was a total failure... for Grace repaid kindness by running off with some town funds entrusted to her. George is with Grace and neither of them has been heard from since the train pulled out of the station. Molly, in her worry about paying back the money, almost forgot for a while that she must reveal to her neighbors the hoax played on her. Birdie's brother, Seymour has offered to solve one problem... the money problem... and Birdie, in her whispering, gossiping way, may have solved the other... Listen..."
Announcer close: "The one secret that Birdie ever kept has to be the one she is accused of not keeping and now the news is really out and all that Molly imagined... will surely happen."
