To Molly, a daughter-in-law is a gift from heaven, especially when she's lovely, charming and smart... And Grace is being very clever. Why Sammy married her we don't know, because Sammy is still at sea on his way to some distant battleground... and all Molly knows about the marriage is what Grace has told her. What Grace didn't tell -- and what Grace won't tell her is what we know, that Grace is here in Lastenbury on some plan of her own... It's apparent to us that Grace and George, a new farmhand who seems to know Grace very well are up to something... and the Goldbergs financial condition is involved somehow.
